What City Boiler does
City Boiler is an introduction service. We provide general information about boilers and heat pumps, give a recommendation based on the details you share, and, with your consent, pass your request to one independent local installer.
We are not an installer. We do not carry out, supervise or guarantee any heating work, and we are not Gas Safe registered, MCS certified or OFTEC registered ourselves. The installers we introduce hold their own registrations.
Who you contract with
- No contract for any work is formed between you and City Boiler, whether you use the quote form, call us or follow our recommendation.
- Any quote you receive comes from the installer. If you accept it, your contract is with that installer alone, on their terms.
- The installer is responsible for the survey, the price, the work, its compliance with regulations, any guarantees and any grant they claim on your behalf.
- Your statutory rights as a consumer against the installer are not affected.
Using our service is free for homeowners and you are under no obligation to accept any quote. We may be paid by installers for introductions.
Prices and information on this site
Prices on this website are typical guides, based on national ranges and dated so you know when they were checked. They are not offers and cannot be accepted. The price for your job is the fixed price your installer quotes after assessing your home.
Grant amounts and eligibility rules are set by government schemes and can change. We describe them in good faith as at the date shown, but you should check the current rules, for example on gov.uk, before relying on them.
Our recommendation of a boiler or heat pump is general guidance based on the information you give us. It is not a survey or professional design. The installer’s survey and heat loss calculation take priority.
Our liability
We take reasonable care to keep this website accurate and available, but we do not promise that it will always be complete, current or free of errors.
To the extent the law allows:
- we are not liable for the work, products, advice, delays or conduct of any installer
- we are not liable for any loss caused by relying on general information on this site instead of an installer’s survey and quote
- we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or loss of profit or business
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded under the law of England and Wales.
Using the site
You agree not to misuse the site, submit false or someone else’s details through the quote form, or try to interfere with how it works. Content on the site belongs to City Boiler or its licensors and may not be copied for commercial use without permission.
Links to other websites, such as gov.uk or the Gas Safe Register, are provided for information. We are not responsible for their content.
